When we think of content moderation, we often picture large tech companies like Meta or Twitter enforcing rules through algorithms or outsourced moderators. But what about the people running our local online spaces? Our extended abstract explores this often-overlooked dimension—how moderators of place-based Facebook groups in London navigate the balance between global platform policies and hyper-local community norms.
